"Extinct" Frog Rediscovered in Australia

Wildlife Extra - September 2008.

The Armoured Mist Frog (Litoria lorica), a species not seen anywhere for 17 years has been rediscovered in a remote location in the far north of Australia. James Cook University's Professor Ross Alford said it was feared that the Armoured Mist Frog had been lost in the devastating outbreaks of amphibian chytrid fungus that started in the Wet Tropics 20 years ago...

So according to the wild life this frog and the community of this frog is very important and very less on the earth. Actually These kind of precious wild life communities are so much important for the life cycle of the charls darvine.

Although we have wide species of frog available all around the globe.But i think still many species are yet to be discovered.Like Armoured mist frog which a scientist has rediscovered.But as you said these wild life communities are important to maintain life cycle of charls darvine.

Rediscovering is really surprising. Looks like they're ready to make some babies!!! Finding this frog is as significant as finding a tasmanian tiger. Please take “Extinct” out of the headline. If they found some they are no longer "No More".
